At the end of the 80’s, on the initiative of a militant group, the Boerenmarkt market was created on a square square space available in Jordaan. The idea was that farmers and stockbreeders could sell their ecological and then organic products in short cycles without going through resellers. On the first day in 1987 there were only 8 farmers in the market! Today you will be able to buy typical and organic products: typical pastries and crispy breads, delicious cheeses, tasty and fresh vegetables, mushrooms.
