Driving in Amsterdam
I think it’s a real shame… So I’d rather talk to you about parking lots outside the city, in case you came by car…

Parkings relais P+R :
You’ll find them along the Ringweg A10. They are parks relay “P+R” which means “parking + transport”, open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The entrance ticket is 8€ for the first 24 hours if you arrive before 10am on a working day, or 1€ after 10am or on weekends and public holidays. The following days are at 1€ only.
In exchange for this ticket, the caretaker will give you a return OV transport voucher for 5 people. Attention, for this, there are ” P+R ” conditions to be respected (see brochure).
Tickets from transports GVB P+R (round trip) sold at the blue dispensers at the park and ride facilities operate in the same way on the GVB network, entitling you to the P+R fare.
There are 6 “P+R” car parks around Amsterdam. The Sloterdijk and the Olympish Stadion also offer a loan service of bikes against an ID card. During busy periods it is easier to park and borrow a bike at the less busy P+R Sloterdijk.
Downtown parking lots
Their prices are prohibitive (4 to 5€/hour, 50€/d) and places are scarce! I strongly advise you not to venture into the city centre by car.
