The Jordaan District has a soul, much like Montmartre and Saint Germain des Pr\u00e9s in Paris\u2026<\/p>\n

The Jordaan, historically a working class district, whose alleys are made up of old modest houses, are full of small traditional caf\u00e9s: the brown caf\u00e9s where you sing your heart out in the evening while drinking a beer. Funny little vintage or local shops give it an almost intimate village-like feel\u2026 I advise you to spend a lot of the time you spend in Amsterdam<\/a> in the Jordaan District.<\/p>\n

Today, this picturesque part of the city has been chosen by artists of all sensibilities who have established many art galleries here.<\/p>\n

You can stroll through the streets in Amsterdam Style, through its winding cobbled streets full of hidden treasures, its hidden courtyards, and its lively little markets.<\/p>\n

When we got lost, we found a small shop that only sells articles dedicated to dental hygiene: De Wittle Tanden Winkel.<\/p>\n

We got lost again when we arrived at the Noordermarkt Square, for the farmer\u2019s and organic market (the boerenmarkt) on Saturday at lunchtime!<\/p>\n

Another discovery we made as we got lost: we stumbled into Amsterdam\u2019s oldest Brown Caf\u00e9 around 6pm: the Chris Caf\u00e9, to drink an authentic beer in the dim light.<\/p>\n
